Elgin. Attractive bright purple medium deep red colour. Lots of complex bright blackcurrant fruit on the nose with some oak spice and subtle herb notes complimenting. Fine soft tannin structure and youthful fruit on the palate. An appealing combination of lightness and depth. Lovely dry finish with acidity more than tannin carrying the wine to a long finish. Best 2026 to 2035. A great food wine. Ideal with subtle red meats like veal, lamb, charcuterie, mushrooms and most things savoury.
