Stark-Condé Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon
This is our “estate” blend of Cabernet Sauvignon: it is from our 4 Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, blended with Petit Verdot (8%), Petite Sirah (4%), Malbec (2%) and Cabernet Franc (1%). Matured in French oak for 20 months — 30% new oak and the balance in 2nd and 3rd-fill. Textbook Stellenbosch Cabernet: plush black fruits and fine, elegant tannins. An excellent vintage that will age 10 years+ if properly cellared.
Blackberry fruit aromas with tea-leaf and cedar notes. The palate is rich and polished with dark fruit and mocha flavours and a finely balanced acidity. Long finish with the fine tannins typical of a Jonkershoek Valley wine.
The Lievland Pinotage is brought into this world in a modern elegant style. The wine presents vibrant notes of cherry and raspberry, with a hint of cedar and vanilla introduced by the the oak ageing. The palate has rich red fruit with a savouriness that is often typical of Pinotage. There is 8% Grenache that has been added which brings vibrancy and complexity. 4% dry-farmed Syrah gives an elegant and fine tannin. A small (3%) bit of old-vine Cinsault has been blended in to enhance the aromas and add freshness to the palate.
MAN Family Wines Free-Run Steen Chenin Blanc
A crisp, expressive, light-bodied wine. Light straw colour. Vibrant aromas of quince, pear and pineapple. On the palate, fresh stone fruit and apple flavours are backed by refreshing acifity, minerality and full-bodied mouthfeel. A versatile food wine that will pair well with poultry, shellfish and vegetable dishes. Also, fabulous as an aperitif for a hot afternoon. Great to drink now, but ages beautifully over 2-5 years. Serve Chilled.
Free-Run Steen Chenin Blanc: Steen, the traditional South African word for Chenin Blanc, thrives in the climate and deep soils of our region. We use only the free-run juice (no pressing of the grapes) to preserve its clean and natural character, refreshing acidity and delicious ripe fruit flavours.
